What is Structured Data?

Data which is organised and formatted in a predefined manner, typically in rows and columns within a database or spreadsheet. It follows a rigid schema or model, where each data element is clearly defined by its data type and its relationships with other elements. Structured data is easily searchable, analysable, and computable by machines, enabling efficient data processing and retrieval. Examples of structured data include numeric values, dates, and categorical information. Structured data is commonly used in relational databases and is essential for various applications, including data analysis, reporting, and transaction processing.
