The Challenge
RS Group, a global industrial distributor managing 1.5 million SKUs across 80+ countries, faced increasing pressure to streamline product data operations. Their legacy processes and technology couldn’t keep up with the volume and complexity of supplier data—impacting time-to-market, customer experience, and internal efficiency.
With thousands of suppliers and millions of SKUs, RS needed a scalable product data strategy that combined smarter technology, governance, and operational discipline.
What We Delivered
We supported RS Group in building a scalable product data foundation through two core service areas: Data Sourcing & Enrichment and PIM Operations Consultancy.
Our team mapped and enriched product information from thousands of suppliers, standardising content to enable faster onboarding and customer-ready accuracy. We also developed scalable workflows for attribute enrichment and classification, ensuring consistency and quality across a vast and complex catalogue.
Alongside this, we led the design of a future-state product data operating model and supported RS in selecting a modern, flexible PIM platform. We embedded robust data governance practices to maintain quality long-term and created a phased migration strategy to ensure a smooth, low-risk transition.
